The Material and Immaterial Worlds of Virgil Burnett

This exhibit celebrates Professor Maud Burnett McInerney’s gift of books written, illustrated, and published by her late father, Virgil Burnett (1928–2012). The exhibit looks to understand Burnett in his role as an illustrator, author, and publisher and to unearth the themes that color his work. The work displayed in this online exhibit includes selected drawings and books from the Virgil Burnett Collection housed in Haverford College Library's Quaker and Special Collections.
