After Reid’s death in 1968, the Alumni Association of Haverford College reached out to Mrs. Reid in conjunction with their official public statement acknowledging Reid’s contributions to Haverford. On the bottom of the letter is a handwritten note from the president of the alumni association, simply stating that he hopes all is well for her at this time. This document is yet another testament to the legacy that Reid left at Haverford and the influence he had on over twenty years of alumni at the college, as well as the genuine concern felt by Haverford alumni for Reid’s family.
