Title

Women's Anti-Suffrage Association of Massachusetts Anti-Suffrage Diagram, 1916

Subject

Opposition to American Women's Suffrage

Description

"This diagram appears in the same publication as ID #2189.01, Equal Suffrage Is Coming, and takes the opposite position. It the makes the point that while the number of states endorsing suffrage for women was growing, these states tended to be those of smaller population. The number of people in states that had rejected suffrage, or had yet to vote on it, was nearly ten times that of states that had adopted suffrage. The same point is made in ID #1171, Population Votes - Not Area (1915)."
