A white cyclist shouldering/jostling/bullying his competitor - the "Black Cyclone", Major Taylor. Taylor was an amazing cyclist, competing and excelling on the world stage before the age of 20. He was subjected to a lot of abuse and discrimination from white competitors and spectators. Altho he was the most talented and wealthy athletes of his time, he was forbidden from competing in many races. And when he was allowed to, he faced a lot of verbal and physical abuse....people throwing things at him - once he was tackled and choked by a disgruntled man who was upset to have finished in a race behind Taylor. The police had to get involved and it took 30 minutes for Taylor to regain consciousness. The man was fined $50 for his assault...
